My attempt to take 365 pictures and share them with you. And although none of these photos are near professional-looking nor made, none of the images may be used without my permission.

57/365 - Mexican Night
Tonight, Joy cooked for us again! I helped make the watermelon juice. I love photographing food. Here, we have fish tacos, chicken tortilla soup, and refreshing watermelon juice. Yummy! Can't wait what's for dinner next Saturday. LOL!

52/365 - There's a New Camera in Town

I wanted to capture this picture of Joy--at long last, she got a new digicam! I'm so excited for her. She's got a cool, creative bone in her body. She got it from me, of course. I already know what to get her for birthday in August.
We were at San Mateo Central Park today. It was cold, but the fresh air was nice. Joy took plenty of cool pics all on her flickr page. You can view it if she lets you. Ha, ha. Joy's pics were nice and varied. Mine were mostly of Dante--because I was watching him all the time. D-uh...

51/365 - Dante with Lola
Behind Lola is her "other" baby--Charlie making an extra appearance in this photo.

50/365 - Veggie Tempura Night
Joy had a great idea for dinner tonight. And, she did most of the dirty work--literally. Pan-seared salmon, veggie tempura, miso soup, yum-oh! Who needs to eat out?
While I love photographing food, I also am going to start photographing more the process that goes into making the food. There's something comforting seeing actual homemade eats.

47/365 - Moon After the Rain
Full moon is in a few days, but she has started to shine and light up the sky tonight. We had a downpour of rain last night and this effect was created with the clouds. SOOC. No editing done.

45/365 - Valentine's Day
Drew got me this ring last year for Mother's Day and I wear it daily.
I thought it would be nice to take a photo of it, applying what I read about photographing jewelry in an artistic setting. I hope you were able to see what I tried to achieve here--the heart shadow created by the ring. It's a somewhat common wedding picture--I wanted to see if I can replicate it. I thought it was fitting to do for a Valentine's entry.
Oh and Drew's Valentine's gift to me? It's tucked away in the drawer. :)

42/365 - Orchid in the Garden
I took this picture too late. The flower had already bloomed earlier in the week and I didn't get a chance to capture its beauty. Maybe next time... While this particular one looks okay, the other flowers had already turned brown..
I do love the nice blur that came out in the background. Zoomed in 12x, backed up from my subject, and voila!

36/365 - Mama Gorilla
Dante's first trip to the zoo. Mama Gorilla posed for us at the San Francisco Zoo.
I got lots of great pics--thanks to the mega zoom of my SX130. I also got some shots with my Lomo cams but I fear the film may have gotten stuck mid-roll. Digicam to the rescue!

Photowalk with Sis
So, I have been googling "San Francisco Photowalks" and "Bay Area Photowalks" and I therefore conclude that these photowalks are just not that popular... or I may be using the wrong search engine. While I had not really planned on joining a photowalk, I merely wanted to get an idea where folks went to, to prepare for my very own photowalk with my younger sis, Joyce.
You see, she's taken a bit of a liking to photography just recently (she takes cool pics, IMHO), that we decided we could do something like this. I have to give her credit though. It is really her idea. I'm hoping she can get her new camera soon, so that we can embark on this... I'm excited! Of course, I'll be taking my two lomo cams (Holga and Fisheye) along with my digital camera to ensure I get some shots.
I hope to post some pics (digital ones, at least) from those journeys here, or maybe she can start a blog with me so we can share the pictures with mutual friends and relatives, too. Stay tuned!
Enjoy your walk--where ever that may be. Take a camera with you. You may never know. You may be on a photowalk yourself!
